TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It should inform your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
