The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
